Part A- Hospital Insurance

Part B- Medical Insurance

Part C- Medicare Advantage

Part D- Prescription Drug Coverage

Let's dive deeper:

Part A- Hospital Insurance

This helps cover inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care

and some home health care.

Part B- Medical Insurance

This helps cover doctors' services, outpatient care, preventive services and

medically necessary services.

Part C- Medicare Advantage

This is an alternative way to receive your Medicare benefits through a Medicare-

approved private plan.

Part D- Prescription Drug Coverage

This helps cover the cost of prescription medications.

A, B, C, D... Medicare can feel like learning a whole new alphabet!

Understanding the basics is just the first step.

www.medicare.gov is the best place to verify and find information regarding Medicare. To see what the official Medicare site has to say about the different parts of Medicare, feel free to be directed to that specific page on their website by clicking HERE.

Just because a Medicare Supplement isn't listed as a "Part" of Medicare when you look it up on most platforms, doesn't mean it should go unnoticed. It can work alongside parts of Medicare and be beneficial for you.

Remember: It is always a good idea to sit down with a Medicare Advisor to see what coverage might be best for your individual situation.

Feel free to share this with someone who may be approaching Medicare!
